New and Improved…Again

After many hours of pain on the level of childbirth or passing kidney stones…I finally got the site redesigned. Cosmetically speaking, nothing much has really changed. The main point of the redesign is the “Comments(Number)” link you’ll see in the bottom right corner of all the posts (including this one). This allows you to leave or read comments on my daily rantings, simliar to a weblog (ie blog) style format. I did strip out most of the features that come with your typical blog format so things will be simple for now. I’ll be adding new features here and there as time progresses on ye ol’website.

As for behind the scenes, this new format will greatly reduce my administrative tasks. Now I can update my website from any PC that has internet access. In the past, I was dependant on Frontpage or Dreamweaver to get the job done. Also, I can draft posts in advance and use an auto posting/archiving feature to do the dirty work. Its like having virtual minions! So I’m offically on the high speed l33t bullet train now. However, it wasn’t an easy task to provide you with all these nifty features. I had to upgrade my web account to support PHP and mySQL, get a copy of Dreamweaver, and take a crash and burn course in PHP and CSS. Therefore, I must love ya’ll something fierce.

So please make good use of the Comments feature. For now, you don’t have to register on my site for anything and you can use any username that you want. Be creative and surprise me. Also, it will ask you for your email address. Please know that it will not be save or displayed anywhere on my website. Actually, I’m saving them so I can sell them to ever spammer I can find…muahahahaha…just kidding.

And in other news, I somehow managed to rack up over 1000 hits this month. Rock, rock on!!

Finally, FSU plays North Carolina tomorrow in another home game. It’ll be Parents Weekend so it should be a gimmie game…hopefully. Wyatt will be making his first appearance as a true starting quarterback in what will be a new era in FSU Football. Hey, a guy can wish right? Also, parents bring your cash for all us needy college students. We accept cash, checks, credit/debit cards, and money orders. Heck, we’ll even waive the 10-day holding period on personal checks.

With all of the bad weather lately in the US, its easy to overlook other countries with bad weather.
