This Is It
The game we’ve been waiting for: Florida State Seminoles VS Florida Gators tomorrow night at the Doak. Kick off is at 7:45 PM on ESPN. The Gators haven’t won in Tallahassee since Nov, 26, 1986. Sadly, Florida leads the all-time series 27-19-2, but FSU is going 7-0-1 at home. So if I woke up tomorrow with my head sewn to the carpet, I wouldn’t be more surprised than the Gators winning. And just to throw some more stats at you: The Gators are tied for 3rd in the SEC East and their record this season is 6-4, 4-4. The Seminoles are 2nd in the ACC and our record this season is 8-2, 6-2. We are currently #10 AP and #8 BCS. In conclusion: Go Noles!!!
And speaking of the Doak, Bobby Bowden is about to complete his god-like status this weekend when they name the field after him. So from this point forward, is going to be Bobby Bowden Field at Doak Campbell Stadium. Finally, the Seminoles need Virginia Tech to lose two of its three remaining conference games (Maryland, Virginia and at Miami), and Miami to lose one of its remaining two (Wake Forest and Virginia Tech), to win the ACC and earn the automatic BCS bowl bid. Just in case you were wondering about that.
I’m sure that you’re happy to hear that this will be the last football themed post after this coming Monday unless we go to a bowl. And I know I said I would post the NC State pics this week, but its been a loooonnng week. So I’ll post them on Monday along with the Gator beat down pics.
Have a great weekend and go FSU!!

I'm currently living in Tallahassee, FL where I am a senior in the Computer Science program at FSU and a C# web developer for a local software company.
so i’m sitting here this afternoon pondering the many possibilities of what could have happened during yesterday’s FSU game. did FSU not want to win? they had the game handed to them in a basket! oh well. at least they didn’t cause a stir like the pistons and the pacers. that could have been disastrous. the possibility was there…what with “the sellout” and everything. you just don’t do that. you just don’t. i’m waiting on someone to declare shenanigans.
