Merry Christmas Eve Eve

Ok. The update today will be slightly delayed. Check back around lunch. Sorry boys and girls. Don’t worry…all is well. Mucho love for you all.

***Update***

Ima back. Today I originally had a rather large production co-authored with RT. But today I’m going to do something a little different. I can because its my name plastered all over the site. Tomorrow is Christmas Eve, which is usually followed by Christmas…ok, ok, 100% of the time it is. Anyways, most people look forward to getting gifts and some even dread spending time with their family. Boys and girls, there’s more to Christmas than just that.

Most of you may or may not know, but my mom, brother, and grandmother had to have serious surgery this year. So I’m very thankful that they are around so I can spend Christmas with them this year. Personally I really don’t care what I get this year because I have all them with me. But even with all the family, tradition, and decorations, we are forgetting one very important thing: Jesus, the best Christmas gift of all.

Mike, our campus minister at CCF, spoke at our last Connection of this semester about how Jesus left his home in heaven, heaven people, to be born in a manger. A nasty, dirty manger (probably a feeding trough) surrounded by animals and who knows what else. A man who lived his life on the road, constantly persecuted, tortured, died on the cross…for us.

It doesn’t matter what we have or don’t have because as Christians we already have everything that we need. If you’re not a Christian and you feel like something is missing and everything you get doesn’t fill that emptiness, pop me an email or give me a call and we’ll talk. I just want to challenge everyone to be thankful for what you have, love your family, and (as cliché-ish as this sounds) remember that Jesus is the reason for the season.

Merry Christmas Everyone!

PS – As for me I’ll be heading up to Climax tomorrow and Alabama on Saturday. If you want, leave me some love using the comments section or tell us what you are thankful for.

Ok. It is ten minutes after 1pm. It is after lunch time indeed. Wake up from your nap, stop playing video games, and get it posted already. I am trying to make it through the day at work (unlike you I have to work today) and not only do I not have any e-mail, I have no posting to read. Don’t make this grown man cry.
