I Quit

Ahoy!

Take this job and shove it, I ain’t workin’ here no more. — Johnny Paycheck

That’s right, today is my last day at work. I turned in my resignation two weeks ago. I’m just sick and tired of having to get up early in the morning and drive 30 miles to work every day. I need to finish school and that’s got to take some priority in my life. I wanted to mention it earlier, but I wanted to make sure that I was doing the right thing.

Technically I’ll still be an employee for two more weeks since I’m taking all my vacation after I leave today. That will put me at the end of Spring semester so I can take a full load of classes in the summer. So from this point forward, I’ll be living off the land and student loans. Woo Hoo!! Welcome to the world of debt! But don’t worry; I’ve stashed enough drug money to keep the site up and going. I’m also going to start a Paypal account to take up donations as well. Every little bit helps.

Happy April Fools Day!

Actually, that couldn’t be farther from the truth. Today is my first official day as Engelhard’s newest Systems Analyst. That’s what we like to call a promotion in the business world. For me that means less technical support stuff and more programming…and more money of course. That means I can finally get all my teeth capped in solid gold playa. I also got a new office out of the deal and a nifty 19″ LCD monitor. Welcome to the big leagues. Word up. The only thing that sucks is that I now get paid once a month instead of every two weeks. So I just got paid yesterday for two weeks and I’ve got to stretch it out until the end of April. You know, that paypal account doesn’t seem so bad after all.

In other notiable news, Artie also starts his new job today as well. Great job man…get your Groove on.

Alright peoples, have a good weekend and keep in between the ditches.

Roll out.

Jillian – That was some jam up banana pudding last night.
Artie – Thanks for the heart attack (he moved my car across the parking lot this morning).

Thanks for posting one of my favorite pictures of you!! I know this is April Fool’s day, your Dad and I really got a shock this morning when we opened the door to the office…..we had been broken in to with several items taken including the company check book. They broke the window behind my desk. Get this…they took a 1989 19 inch tv, a l989 mirowave, the vaccum cleaner and the checkbook. Computers, fax machine etc still here. So we really had a fool of a day!! Love, Mom

Hey Man. I hope all is well with your new job. I have barely had a chance to sit down at all. My first day in the new job and the State of Florida decides to flood.
Ah. I am glad that it is Friday, even though I am on call this weekend (and everyday).

Sorry for the scare this morning. But, hey, I got you on April Fools Day.
