Long Weekend Review

Ahoy!

Happy Tuesday boys and girls! It isn’t often I get to open up the week with a “Happy Tuesday!”, so relish this moment. I hope that everyone had a great and safe Memorial Day weekend. As for this webmaster, I sadly spent most of Saturday programming for school. I had the TV on in the background, so it took going through Ghostbusters, The Fifth Element, and half of Galaxy Quest to finish one of the three programs I have due on Thursday. Oh joy.

Sunday I redeemed myself when the good Captain came down to celebrate his birthday. Yes, that’s right, ye ol’ Captain Matt is now…old…a quarter century’s worth to be exact. And what better way to celebrate his birthday than with the second annual “Enhance a watermelon with your favorite tasty beverage” gathering. Needless to say, the party went well into the night and those pagan Persians would have been jealous.

As for Monday…most of that day was devoted to recovering the previously mentioned activities. Oh…and was fo sho some grilling goodness thrown in at the end.

But today it’s back to work (aka the grind) and later on this evening a plunge into Java. I can hardly wait (yes, please note the heavy use of sarcasm).

Is it too early to be looking forward to Friday?

It’s never too early to look forward to Friday!

  2. Capt' Matt — May 31, 2005 #

For the record Webmaster J was the only one recovering on Monday. He should have listened to the 80′s commercials and Just Said No.

  3. T-ra — May 31, 2005 #

I guess he didnt drink a captain size glass of water before bed, oh well live and learn ;)

  4. Capt' Matt — May 31, 2005 #

Ohhh No He drank the water. Let’s just say it didn’t stay in him too long

  5. dustin — May 31, 2005 #

Dustin thinks Capt. Matt needs to move to Tallahassee and work as an accountant.

  6. T-ra — May 31, 2005 #

Yuck not good. You would think he could hold his liquor after all the practice, j/k. What type of alcohol was used in the watermelons?

    Dustin-get to work =P

  7. Artie — May 31, 2005 #

    Yes.
Capt Matt is correct. Joshua was the only one recovering on Monday. I got and biked 12 miles with the lovely Jillian. So, instead of feeling like I had too many jello shots, my legs just felt like jello shots.

And no, there weren’t actually any jello shots. Just rum fed watermelons. Oh yes, and large glasses of water.

The good Capt and I took good care of Joshua. We were all feeling well enough to grill out Monday evening.

Oh, and Dustin is working hard enough.
Keep up the good work Dustin. And get back to work T-ra.

I was wondering why Josh didn’t make it to the CCF cookout/pool party. IMO grey goose mellon works a lot better than rum; harder to get sick off of. Either way, it’s good practice to stay awake at least an hour after the last giant water glass.

Thanks for not calling me. I had important “business” to take care of. Good story; ask about it in person.

  9. T-ra — May 31, 2005 #

Dustin- so grey goose melon night next weekend, right?

  10. Matt the Destroyer — May 31, 2005 #

to allow josh a little grace i did drink less than our last adventure (even less than him this time around). however in the last adventure i still doubled up what he drank over this past weekend and was still standing/woke up fine the next morning.

Also i need to send some love to hot & flitatious for wishing an evil hang over on me. ;) i win again darling.

  11. dustin — May 31, 2005 #

Ok, completely off-topic, but Josh, is this not THE best office poster in the world? I’m going to order one and have it framed.

    T-ra is buying next weekend.

  12. T-ra — May 31, 2005 #

um well if thats the case we need to wait until the weekend of the 10th, 11th, and 12th. But sure I’ll buy then dustin….but no more than 2 bottles of grey goose =)

  13. Matt the Destroyer — May 31, 2005 #

you kids have fun. matt the destroyer is good for a while. i think i will persue other damnable acts against my mortal soul.

  14. Hot & Flirtatious — May 31, 2005 #

Like I said before, a girl can wish…you might have J. Michael Floyd to thank for that win ;) …and I’m not sure if I want any knowledge of other damnable acts to your mortal soul…that sounds a little sketch.

  15. Artie — June 01, 2005 #

    Capt Matt,
Just name the time and place and I’ll be there.

  16. Joshua — June 01, 2005 #

Oh oh oh oh!!! Me too!!!!!

    ~Mr.Joshua

  17. Matt the Destroyer — June 01, 2005 #

Hey Neverever bring up the honorable J. Michael in a conversation on damnable acts, bt you are probably and its all good.

  18. dustin — June 01, 2005 #

This is exactly why you need a forum, Josh.

BTW – by pursuing “…other damnable acts …”, Matt is talking about watching Harry Potter movies.

  19. Matt the Destroyer — June 01, 2005 #

I AGREE A FORUM WE NEED GREATLY.

  20. Joshua — June 01, 2005 #

Sure, let me just add that to the top of my list of things to do…just above work, school, and strutting. Actually, because I love you guys so much, I’ll see what I can do.

In other news, today’s post will be a little late.

  21. Artie — June 01, 2005 #

    A forum?
I dunno. The comments thing works fine.
A forum might end up like the women’s page on this site.

  22. Matt the Angry Accountant — June 01, 2005 #

But the forum won’t depend on women and we know from experience how reliable the women who visit this page are about taken limited ownership are (lauren is excused from my comment bc i want to marry her and her Wookie Cookies were out of site get it out of site) but i will relinquish my voting rights bc i encouraged the pink pages.

  23. dustin — June 01, 2005 #

Josh, give in to temptation and use phpBB. Everything is set up already, and you can drop your current stylesheet right in.

  24. Joshua — June 01, 2005 #

    Will it save Padme?

  25. The Emperor — June 01, 2005 #

I’m afraid she died… it seems in your anger, you killed her.

    [insert Frankenstein like motions here]

    NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!11!!!1

  27. T-ra — June 01, 2005 #

I like the comments thing better than a forum, though I do wish the periodic refresh feature worked. No hurry, but rather than creating something new maybe someone *coughShuacough* could fix the current form of communication that we all love dearly.

  28. Joshua — June 01, 2005 #

I do have a periodic refresh feature. It’s called the F5 key. It goes great with my automatic parental control keys: ALT+F4.

  29. Matt the Angry Accountant — June 01, 2005 #

HE SHOOTS HE SCORES, WEBMASTER J WITH THE QUICK WIT.

  30. T-ra — June 01, 2005 #

    =P dorq hehe j/k
Oh yeah, the copy of episode III (“argh”) I borrowed… was it a bad burn? Or is it just my luck?

  31. Joshua — June 01, 2005 #

Eyhay ownay, eway on’tday alktay aboutway iratingpay aterialmay erehay.

  32. Matt the Angry Accountant — June 01, 2005 #

CAN WE HAVE A DAMNABLE ACTS FORUM? IT’LL BE FOR THE KIDS

  33. T-ra — June 01, 2005 #

Eyhay, hetay ordway evernay amecay utoway foay ymay outhmay.

  34. dustin — June 01, 2005 #

I hate using the comments section as a forum. I’ve always got all these good ideas/poll/pictures/snuff videos (jk) to post, but “comments” get lost after like two days.

Josh, your auto refresh feature rules! Something I suggest for people that don’t have a net-friendly work environment: User a keybinder to bind the middle or alternate mouse button to “alt+f4″. I call it the “boss button”

  35. Artie — June 01, 2005 #

    I agree with Matt.
If we do have a forum, it should be for the children.
Damnable acts! Perhaps the good capt’n and I can keep it running.
