Things I Learned Yesterday

Ahoy!

1.) From bible study, falling asleep and not praying will make the baby Jesus cry.
2.) Tera has a lethargic 40 lbs cat that can’t bathe itself.
3.) Children do not know property boundaries. While I was eating at Chic-fil-a yesterday, this kid hops up in my booth and precedes to make a move for my nuggets. His mom did a slow motion, “Nooooooooooooooooo!” and managed to grab him before he made contact.
4.) One corner of my parking lot has been converting into the home edition of “Pimp My Ride”. However, instead of spending thousands of dollars pimping out a ghetto cruiser…they probably spends tens of dollars. I drove into my complex yesterday and found four ghetto machines corralled up like a wagon train with hoods popped and music thumpin. It’s probably the same crew that likes to rev their engine and bottom out the bass at all hours of the night.
5.) If it can, it will go wrong.
6.) A brief night swim is most relaxing.

Now go forth my little ones and use these pearls of wisdom for the greater good of humanity.

You know, sometimes our prayer life is a lot like Tara’s cat.
You are trying to get yourself clean and (like the cat who starts to lick itself and then looks around and forgets what it is doing) you get distracted and then, in a fit of laziness, you roll over and fall asleep.

true, Christians can be lazy just like Tera’s cat. But the cat is cool and so are we.
