[insert lackluster fanfare here] It’s Monday.

And it started wonderfully I should say. I climbed in my car this morning and I realized that I forgot to get gas on Friday. I ran some quick calculations and didn’t think that I could make the 32 mile journey to Georgia, land of the way-cheaper-than-Florida gas. And peaches.

To remedy this problem, I stopped by the Circle K just a few blocks from my apartment. While there I decided to treat myself to some of their fine “gourmet” coffee. After all, what better way to reward myself for forgetting to get gas. As I stroll up to the counter, I check out the girl in front me. She appears to be what we normally refer to as your “typical college aged person”.

That’s when I notice the fact that she’s got a 6-pack of beer in her hand. I glance down at my watch: 6:33 AM. Talk about an anachronism. Then I glance down at my coffee and back at her beer. I check out my coffee again and threw a look at her tasty beverage. Finally I just end up starring at my coffee.

Something is wrong with the picture.

Needless to say, I made it to work…with coffee in hand.

    Oh snap. There’s a certain pride that comes from being born and raised in Polk County, but sadly, it’s because of incidents like this….only in Polk County.

    Sadly…no. That ruled out all “grab a bootie” beer jokes. As for gas in GA, Regular is $1.90.

    Ya know…sometimes just starring at coffee in the mornin’ is the only way tom make it through the day. Oh, and yes, drinking it helps too.
