Thursday Night Specialness

Ahoy!

So last night Artie, Nick and I were filling up on our guy’s night staple: B’Merrels. As usual, the food was good and the service was “special”. If you’ve ever been privileged to eat there, you know exactly what I mean. Last night’s waitress was a bit of a deviation in that she didn’t say, “Here’s your food.” and disappeared until it was time to pay.

Oh no, this was full on friendly. So much so that when Artie, being a true gentleman and ordered some wings, she impressed upon us to get the Caribbean Burnt wings. I believe her words were something to the extent of, “I’m normally an indecisive person, but I love these and you have to get them.” And thus we did. Now brace yourself for the special part:

She said, “You guys have made me happy.” and she skipped away. I’m talking Little Red Riding Hood here.

Don’t get me wrong. I love wings and they do make me happy. But this…this was a different kind of happy.

She later came back and said, “So how are you new favorite wings?”.

The whole time I’m thinking, “Man, if wings make her this happy…” But then I realized that she didn’t meet my minimum age requirements. After all, my name isn’t Matt (yeah, that was a cheap blow).

Later we braved the elements to go to Borders where I scored me a copy of this book. I’m not really sure how it will turn out but rest assured you’ll be hearing about it…as soon as I find time to read it.

In other OMG news, I had a near miss this morning. I walked outside to find a huge tree limb resting just a foot away from my car. The Starling Luck almost strikes again. I guess you would call that a swing-and-a-miss.

Finally, I have a new posting in the Futile Files of a Furious Female. Yeah, I know, that section has been quiet for a while. Almost as quiet as the Artie’cles and Rambling of a Sixth Year Senior sections (cough, cough hint hint, cough, cough).

Have a great weekend everyone and try to stay dry.

OSLD: Here are some games to make you think as well.

Music video about Gem Sweaters. I don’t have a clue.

Magnetism.

“New device gives women teeth where it matters.”

Funky optical illusion.

Poom.

“Let’s grab a cab to the US.”

    Got Paces?
I’d love to go, but I am at work, and I’ll be at work all weekend. Tropical Storms blow!

Otherwise, I never turn down Pace’s.

And yes. Another successful guys night.
    B. Merrells is a special place.
