Well, it appears that the NCAA won’t need the jar of vaseline and a FSU foam #1 finger after all. That’s ok…I don’t want it back. It is a rather nice feeling to put the mighty NCAA in their place. I say mighty because the NCAA just bought out the NIT (Not Important Tournament). Congrads on the monopoly.

I’m still scratching my head over our wonderful President’s comment:

“I don’t think anything has brought them together quite as much as this,” said Wetherell. “Whether you’re a Gator, Hurricane or Bulldog, those entities believe it’s a Florida decision.”

He’s also quoted as saying: “The two things we requested in our appeal were granted,” Wetherell said. “I’m ready to play football, start school and have classes begin and all that kind of stuff.” Translation: “I ready to stop spending money on legal issues and starting making money this fall.”

Oh well, at least we get to continue to use the good Seminole name. And Duke still sucks.

    if you know me you know i hate FSU with a passion. I truly believe bobby is only 3 yrs away from JoePating. bt im happy about this for 2 reasons. 1)FSU stuck it to the man, 2)The NCAA overstepped their bounds with this one.
    Alas though i was wondering what they would call themselves if the name was forcibly changed…

    I hate all teams from the State of Drug Dealers but I have to agree with matt on this one. Good to see the NCAA (National Comittee of A**holes Anonymous)isn’t as all powerfull as they think. Although I would have liked to see the black and white striped uniforms of the Florida State Criminoles. Goes with the Miami Cocanines and The Florida Tadpoles. Go Vols!!!!!! (thats for you matt)
