A Blue Christmas from the Man in Black

Hey kids.
Since Joshua is on vacation, I’m once again hijacking his website.
Have you ever listened to music and thought that the actual music does not really go with the lyrics of the song being sung? I usually feel this way about the song “Blue Christmas”. It is often way too happy to actually be about being sad on Christmas.
On the way to Crossbridge last Sunday, Joshua and I were listening to Johnny Cash’s Country Christmas album. Of course, “Blue Christmas” is the first song on the album. Well, Johnny Cash, being the Man in Black that he is, actually convinced me that he was going to have a blue Christmas. [Insert tear drop here]
The only thing more saddening was that they included the song “Figgy Pudding” on the album.
Speaking of black and blue. Here is a quote from one of my coworkers regarding the jobs where I work:
“You know Artie, they say our job here is like a mushroom. We’re kept in the dark…and you know what they grow mushrooms in.”
Have a good one everybody,
Artie
