Why Hello There

I’m back boys and girls, if only for a brief moment. Yes, I’ve been on vacation for the past three days. I had every intention of posting everyday this week…I just got slightly sidetracked with the whole being lazy thing. However, I did find new and interesting ways of scratching myself.
I keed, I keed.
So let’s see…what all has happened the past few days…Well, Kari and I had a awesome six month celebration Saturday. It probably would have been a little better if I hadn’t lost my cell phone. Yeah. Check this out: we went out to Olive Garden for a nice, romantical like dinner. After dinner we went back to her place to watch Love Actually. As soon as we walked in the door I realized that I didn’t have my cell phone. My work beeper was, unfortunately, on my hip…right next to the broken clip where my cell phone used to be.
Crap and double crap.
So we call Olive Garden to see if anyone had turned in a missing cell phone. Nope and they are too busy to ask around for it. We decided to load back up and check around the restaurant ourselves after turning Kari’s car and house inside out. I should also mention that it had been raining all day long and it was cold and wet outside. That didn’t make it enjoyable or easy to search for my missing phone in the dark.
Somehow we managed to park in the exact same spot we had there (about 30-45 min earlier). We look around the car and didn’t see it. We went inside and Kari grilled the hostess while I looked around the table and cornered our waitress/bus boy. Nadda. Zip. Zilch. I left my info with the manager and walked back out to the car feeling like I had just lost 1/3 of my life. As I opened the door for Kari, she looked down and found my cell phone on the ground.
Hurray!!!!
My phone was a little damp but in working order. We took it apart and dried it out. I’m happy to report that it’s still working great! Oh, I also forgot to mention that as soon as Olive Garden said they didn’t have my phone, I went online and suspended my account. So if you called me sometime Saturday night, you probably got a message saying my account was suspended to failure to pay my phone bill. But I got my account reactivated and I’m back in business.
Needless to say the whole experience was not cool.
Well, that’s all for me today. I’ll have more to report on tomorrow (yes, I’ll have a post tomorrow). Have fun and Merry Christmas everyone!

That Pub guide should come in handy in a few months…thanks joshuastarling.com!
That’s a good woman.
Sympathy should go to the French couple who marched out of the pub, complaining bitterly to each other about the poor service and British manners in general, after a 24-minute wait.
They get no sympathy from me… rude…french…!
