Back In Town

Ahoy!

Happy Wednesday everyone! I’m back from a long weekend trip to Tennessee. Kari, her parents, and I rolled out of Tallahassee after lunch on Friday to drive up to the Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge area. It was a rather cool trip and I had a great time. By the time we got up there late Friday night, it had just started to snow. By the time we woke up Saturday, there was enough on the ground to make snowballs and small snow men. So that alone made the trip worth while.

Since it was cold as a well digger’s butt on Saturday, we decided to stay in for the day and be lazy. That gave Kari and me some time to work on a 1000 piece photo mosaic puzzle we picked up, read some of the 4th Harry Potter (yes, we finally gave in), and watch some movies. On Sunday we went for a hike in the mountains to a remote waterfall. And by “hike” I mean “tiny trail up a mountain where you could fall off the edge and never be seen again”. Then on Monday we hit the outlet malls and the mecca of man-ness: The Muscle Car Museum. Pardon me while I wipe away a tear… Finally on Tuesday we loaded up an headed back to Tallahassee. And let me just say that it rained from the time we got in the van until the FL state line.

Well, that’s really about it for the trip summary. This is the first “real” week of school as far as work and assignments go. It was fun while it lasted!

See you tomorrow everyone!

PS – That area of Tennessee is filled with ‘necks of the Vol and NASCAR variety. I kept wanting to ask them, “So how did your bowl playoff go?” for Capt Matt.

Everything you always wanted to shoot but didn’t feel safe enough to…or didn’t have anyone to hold your beer.

Ancient remains found in downtown Miami. Skeletons had black socks and sandals, short pants hiked up to chest.
