The South Is Great

Hap Hap Happy Monday Everyone!

Before I get into my weekend roundup, let me tell you while I love the South. Down here we have gas station attendants that look like lunch lady school rejects. These attendants go around changing out all the trash bags in the bins next to the pumps. They perform this duty while smoking…not noticing the big, fat “No Smoking” signs posted above each bin. This happened to me Friday afternoon. I starred at this…lady…while she changed out the bag next to my pump. She looked at me and said, “What?” No, the cigarette didn’t move between her lips at all. I just shook my head and said, “Nothing.”

Anyways, Friday night Kari and I pulled out a classic: the original Bad News Bears because she had never seen it. Yes, it was political incorrect goodness. Saturday I got woken up at 3:30 AM by work and had to drive up to the plant. I got home about 6:40 AM and crashed. Kari came over and we cooked an awesome breakfast: eggs, grits, toast (with mayhaw jelly), and bacon. And it was good. That night we went to Kyle and Shannon’s wedding. It was a tad hot for an outside wedding but nice none the less. It was also good to see some old friends. I spent most of Sunday at with Kari and her family at her grandfather’s birthday party in backwoods Florida. Just a side note: I’m getting better at hearts!
