Sightings

I’ve seen some interesting stuff lately:

1.) I had a Mangry Red sighting earlier this week. For those of you who don’t know who that is, she’s one of the founding members and poster child of Arch Nemesis #1. GO GO LOCO-MOTIONS!!!!

2.) Kari and I got stuck behind a “cat lady” at the grocery store. I’m talking a sweet, lil’ old lady buying a ton of cat food, cat litter, and something else cat related I can’t remember. She also had coupons for everything. Well…almost everything. Apparently she had a coupon that the store didn’t accept or wasn’t valid. You could tell beneath that sugar encrusted exterior was a boiling rage of pisstivity. I’m willing to bet that clerk was found mauled to death, covered in hairballs and little bits of absorbent material. I’m also sure she went home and told her little snooky-wookems to enjoy their five dollar more expensive cat food.

3.) There’s a little gas war going on with these two gas stations just north of the Leon-Gadsden county line on US 27. I stopped by one this morning to take advantage of the $2.86 a gallon for regular. Now I know its sad when I have say, “It was a good deal for $2.86 a gallon.” Heck, back in my day when I had to walk nine miles, uphill, barefoot in snow to get to high school, gas was $.75 a gallon for regular. But I digress. When I pulled up to the pump, the neck in his F150 said he’d been there for 10 minutes and managed to get $4.00 worth of gas out the pumps. Yeah…not worth the wait. Besides, it had actually gone down in GA to $2.89. Another “bargain”!

4.) I almost got hit yesterday. I was at an intersection in Tallahassee yesterday and traffic was backed up on the other road for a few blocks due to road construction. The street I was on was one-way and the other street was two-way. I was the first car in the left lane and there was a huge black SUV in the lane next to me. We got the green light and started to go. Suddenly the SUV hit the brakes and I couldn’t understand why. That’s when I heard a car peeling through the intersection, trying to bypass all the traffic and make it to the turn lane on the next block. Please note that the light had been green for a few seconds before this idiot decided to make their move. Now get this: I laid into my horn and give this person a WTF look. She had the audacity to look back at me…with a cigarette hanging from her mouth…like I was the crazy one. I love Tallahassee drivers.

Well, I do believe that’s about it for today. I think I’ll have a media goodness post for tomorrow.
