Christmas At Last

At least around the house.

Yes, I finally got around to putting up my sad little excuse for a Christmas tree. Better late than never right? Seriously, the only reason why my tree is better than Charlie Brown’s tree is the fact that it doesn’t tip over. But what can I say? The tree came from the K-Mart in Bainbridge of all places. If you’ve been there, you know what I’m talking about.

Anyways, I went over to my storage building during lunch on Monday to get the tree, a box of ornaments, and a box of lights. Kari came over last night to help me put everything up. Think of it as practice for next year when we’ll be hitched. In order to set a Christmas-like mood, we “built” a fire, opened a bottle of wine, put on some music (no, it wasn’t the Johnny Cash Christmas CD), and proceeded to decorate.

Here’s a shot of the final product.
