Christmas Unwrappings

Because, you know, white guys can’t rap. (Sorry for the horrible, horrible pun.)
Well, as previously stated, it was an unusual Christmas for both of us. And it still is. In fact, we aren’t even close to finishing up Christmas festivities. So here’s a run down and what’s to come of our multiple, mini-Christmases:
Christmas #1: Sunday afternoon with Kari’s grandparents. Originally this was supposed to go down on Monday, but they had to move it after lunch on Sunday. We drove over to open presents and spend some time with her grandparents.
Christmas #2: The traditional Starling family Christmas on Sunday night. Mom and Dad drove down and Kari and I cooked them dinner. After dinner, we passed out presents and opened them by a roaring TV fire. Once Christmas #2 was over, we drove over to Kari’s parent’s house to spend the night for Christmas #3.
Christmas #3: Christmas morning with Kari’s parents. We woke up and rummaged through the goodness Santa left in our stockings. Then, after a breakfast of Monkey Bread, we passed out presents and opened them. We spent the rest of the day lounging around until Christmas #4.
Christmas #4: Kari’s Uncle came over Sunday night and we opened the presents from him. We also had dinner and played hearts.
Christmas #5: I believe this is either going down tonight or tomorrow night, but Kari’s brother is in town from DC after spending Christmas with his girlfriend’s family in Tampa. So we’ll do the usual: food and presents.
Christmas #6: Hopefully this will be the last of the mini-Christmases. Kari’s family is making their annual pilgrimage up to Gatlinburg Tennessee in January. Which just so happens to be close to where my brother lives. I’m sure you get the rest.
As you can see, that’s why it just didn’t feel like Christmas this year. Please don’t get me wrong…I had a great time and I’m happy with all the gifts I received. I just wished it could have been a little more…condensed.
In other news, I apologize for the lack of posts this week. Aside from Christmas and a vacation day, I’ve had a ton of stuff to do. I will say that today is about the best as work days can go: casual Friday, three day weekend, and payday.
Finally, believe it or not, FSU won their Bowl game Wednesday!
And that’s about it for me. Have a great weekend and I’ll see you next year!!
Oh, I’ve got a new Video and Music Review for you!

I'm currently living in Tallahassee, FL where I am a graduate of the Computer Science program at FSU and a C# web developer for a local software company.
Don’t forget Christmas #7 with Jillian and me.
Speaking of Jillian, I think I am going to take her to buy a mac this afternoon. She has finally seen the light, or crossed over to the dark side. Not sure which way it goes.
That’s right! Lucky #7!!!
