Weekend Bits

Well, it was a weekend of many little small things:
First, a wedding update: As of last night, the invitations have been ordered. We also did some preliminary wedding registration stuff. As of right now, we’re going to register at Target and Home Depot. We walked around Target Friday night making a wish list of sorts. Now we’ve got to go back and wand everything at Target. We also need to get over to Home Depot and see what we like from there.
We also scored some tickets to the Jimmy Buffet concert on Saturday. Kari’s parents ended up with a pair and some of their friends backed out at the last minute. I’m not really a huge Jimmy Buffett fan, but I couldn’t really pass up the experience. Needless to say I was not disappointed. Out of the five or six concerts I’ve been to at the Civic Center (which I’m not really a fan of), it was by far the best. Plus you just can’t beat the Parrot Heads. I mean, seriously, how could you not have fun with a bunch of happily drunk old people decked out in feathers, shark fins, Hawaiian shirts, and grass skirts. I had a great time and I was glad that I went.
Not quite the highlight of the weekend, but my load of Girl Scout cookies came in yesterday. Oh yeah…thin mints and samoas.
Also, Crossbridge turned two years old Sunday!
Other than that, it was the usual: lots and lots of homework. As for this week, I’ve got a test on Friday and a program due on Sunday. Woo hoo!
Not really.
Have a great Monday everyone!
We need one of these in Tallahassee: Roscoe’s House of Chicken ‘n Waffles.
Guy buys 1930s-era Mickey Mouse drawing for $3, decides it’s the One True Original, decides he now owns the copyright, sues Disney for $50 million. Disney’s lawyers too busy laughing to respond.
Seven Deadly Sins and their Combinations.
Note: If a hyena is so hungry that it’s eating your couch, it might be a bad time to go over and annoy it.
