Updates All Around

Ahoy!

If it’s not one thing it’s the other. Ever since I finished school, I’ve been buried under work at my job. I’ve had some nasty reports that I had to get done this week before we start alpha testing next week. I’ve also found that I’m much more motivated at work since I’m not programming on the nights and weekends anymore. Now that we’re moving into alpha testing and I’ve got 150 hours alloted for that, I should have more time to post and update. And speaking of updates, here’s what has been going on:

School: Done for Spring semester. I thought about taking a Stats class this summer, but it’s a 5 hour Calculus based class and I don’t feel like taking books on the honeymoon. I did get my grades back and here’s what I got: Data Structures: B, Computer Organization: A-. While I would have preferred an A in Data Structures, I’ve very happy that I got a B since I at one point I was thinking that I would be lucky to just pass the class.

Wedding: Yikes! Two weeks from tomorrow and I’ll be hitched! Let’s see…I believe the only major stuff we have left is to fine tune the order of the service and get the program printed. I also believe that Kari and her mom are meeting with caterer today and we met with the photographer on Tuesday to nail down the final details.

House Renovations: Thanks to Robert and Clark, we now have wood floors in the front room, hallway, and office. After two coats of primer and paint, the office is finished for the most part with the exception of the trim and a few touch-ups. We also painted the ceiling the front room and hallway. Now we just need to prime and paint the walls in those areas as well. Kari’s last roommate also moved out this week and now I’ve got someplace to store my stuff until we finish the house. On a similar note, I sold some stuff out of my storage building this week and I’ll get getting rid of that monthly expense as well. My goal is to be moved out of my house before the wedding and clean out the storage building by the end of June. Here’s to lofty goals.

Seriously, it just never seems to end. I just finished one of the hardest semesters ever and now I’m getting married, moving, fixing up a house, and getting ready publish a web application for a client.

And the cycle continues.
