Of Hell!
No, really, that’s what it has been like down here in the South for the past week. Hot…humid…sticky…just plain nasty. The heat index has been in the 100′s everyday with some days reaching to 115. Seriously, that’s hot. On average, when I get into my car to go home in the afternoon, my car’s ambient temp reading is 105.
The heat I can handle…it’s the stifling oppression of humidity that’s killing me. I’ve lived in this area all of my life and this is the worst I can remember. I hate walking out the door and hitting an invisible wall that leaves you sweaty and feeling gross. Even the wind is hot.
So who/what is to blame? Global warming? Republicans? Democrats? Bush? Here’s a little conception art that might explain things:
