A Weekend of Little Things

Happy Monday Everyone! Well, it was a weekend of doing a little bit of everything. On Saturday I programmed for about 4 hours to finish up my assignment that was due yesterday. After that, I had a severe case of cabin fever and I needed to get outside for some yard work. Saturday’s goal was to trim back that azalea bushes in the back yard and de-kudzu them. We got about half way done before it started raining. Hopefully I’ll get that finished this week.
On Sunday I was finally able to clean out the rest of my storage building. Kari and I took her parents van over after church and got everything out of there. I’ve been trying over the past few months to get everything out of the building. It all started back in 2003 where I managed to cram a stacked washer/dryer unit, a dresser w/mirror, two night table stands, two lamps, a recliner, and a crap ton of boxes into a 10′ x 8′ room. As of yesterday, I only had about 10 boxes left. I swear, it was like finding buried treasure. I forgot I had all my old baseball cards (about 5000) stored in there along with some old Transformers, Star Wars and G.I. Joes.
Bonus.
The only downside is that I now have more stuff in the garage…at least until I go through and purge stuff I don’t need.
And that’s about it for me. I’ll have more tomorrow.
