Back to the Grind

Well boys and girls, school’s back in session. It seems that this semester has potential to be somewhat nasty. Not so much from a heavy programming workload like the last two semesters (at least I hope not), but from a “busy work” perspective.
Out of my two classes, I think Operating Systems will keep me the most busy. In that class, I’ve got a programming assignment due every Thursday and an online quiz due every Saturday, in addition to all the reading I have to do. Plus, it appears that I’m going to be programming in just plain C. I haven’t programmed in C since my first semester at FSU…way back in…are you ready for this…Spring of 2002. While C is close to C++ and C#, I’ve still got a bit of a learning curve. And you wouldn’t think that by looking at the cover of my book.
As for my other class, Theory of Computation, I don’t have a good feel for that class yet. So far it appears that I’ve got an assignment due every week in there as well. I guess I’ll just have to wait and see.
And speaking of grinding away, guess what? There’s another new Artie’cle today! Man, talk about a machine!
New Children’s Book: Mommy, Why is There a Server in the House?
Woman has wedding cake made to be a full-size likeness of herself.
Sci-fi’s Top 25 Movies and TV of the Past 25 Years. (And yes, I either own or have seen all but 3 of these)
Curiosity killed the cat. Curiosity and a few million volts.
