Who has two thumbs and a severe lack of ambition?
THIS GUY.
Sadly, I don’t have any new excuses to offer today. The fall semester started up at FSU (not to mention college football!) and work seriously cranked up. I can only handle looking at a computer screen for so much each day. Plus I ended up having to go back to Stateland to serve a second tour of duty. Rumor has it my tour is almost up and I’ll be heading back to the home office for a few months…only to return for a third tour in March. But I digress…
So you may have noticed the site looks a little different. I call it, “trying to atone for not posting” (also known as v5.0 – Splash). The purpose of this theme is to accomplish the following:
- Since posting has been sporadic at best…the site will only display the latest post from now on. To view other posts, just click on them under the latest post section. Older posts can either be viewed from the archives or the navigation links located at the bottom of each post.
- Stripped away a lot of the fluff that wasn’t being used much any more. I’m hoping this will also speed up the site a little bit too.
- Along those lines, the site now has a more minimalistic feel to it. There should be a lot less scrolling involved. I also like how each post as more book/news paper-ish feel to it.
- Lastly, it was just time for something new. While I’ve enjoyed the current theme, it is just over two years old.
Honestly, it took me a bit to get used to the new layout but I’m really starting to like it. Please let me know what you think in the comments section. While I’m not going to make any proclamations about posts, I do have some updates and content to share. I’ll try to get on those.
